Imagine live, inspirational readings by women cancer survivors local to each city, describing their work bettering society. The wealth of experience they gained on their cancer journey … that’s their 2nd Act, baby!
Do I have to be a cancer survivor or co-survivor to participate?
Yes. Why? Because a survivor’s 2nd Act is a powerful component to their own healing. As survivors, we have been given the gifts of time and experience, commodities worthy of sharing abundantly. The powerful story of a 2nd Act and what it has done to make society better comes from a place of survivor reverence. The size of the 2nd Act doesn’t matter. The doing does. These are authentic stories and a tribute to survivors.
Do I have to be a professional actor or writer?
Absolutely not! Every story of survivorship and giving back to other women is worth its weight in gold. We want to hear yours!
Is “My 2nd Act: Survivor Stories from the Stage” an open mic?
No. Each 2nd Act stage show is auditioned for, directed, produced, and rehearsed with professional production values, creating a well-crafted and memorable theatrical experience for the entire audience.
How can I participate in a “My 2nd Act: Survivor Stories from the Stage” production?
